All game rules will be consistent with those played during the regular season. A single point will be awarded for tie games. There will be no overtime during the first three preliminary rounds.

(1) At the conclusion of the third round the two teams in the “A” division series with the greatest number of points will advance to the “A” semi-final series.

(2) At the conclusion of the third round the two teams in the “B” division series with the greatest number of points will advance to the “B” semi-final series.

The deciding factors for final standings are:
1. Who beat who
2. Goal Differential – (total goals for, minus total goals against)
3. The team with the fewest penalty minutes during the first three-playoff games.
4. Coin toss
Overtime rules
If necessary, there will be overtime for the semi-final and Championship games(s).

If at the end of regulation time the game is tied, in either the semi-finals or championship game(s) there will be a five-minute sudden victory (standard playing rules) overtime period. Should the game remain tied at the conclusion of the 5-minute overtime, the game will be decided on a three-man shoot-out. The captain will within one minute at the conclusion of regulation time, determine the three shooters and inform the referee/timekeeper of his selection.

One player from each team will start simultaneously from center ice. All three players will shoot. The team with the most shoot-out goals will be declared the winner.
Should the game still be tied after the original 3 players (shooters) have completed their shots, three NEW or DIFFERENT players from the original three, will be identified and will shoot in sudden victory format. That is the first goal scored that is not matched by the opposing team will be declared the winner.

The second set of three shooters will start simultaneously from center ice, and they will go one pair at a time. The first goal that is not matched by the opposing team will be declared as the winning goal. Therefore it will not be necessary for all of the second set of players to shoot, unless the game remains tied.

If the game is still tied after the first two sets of shooters, three more NEW players must be selected. This process will continue until all players have had an opportunity to shoot. After all players have had an opportunity to shoot, the teams may then start again from the beginning.
